Why You Don't NEED State Minimum Coverage

If you have a job, any savings, or any home equity, then you don't need state minimum coverage. You actually need more. A LOT more. In Arizona, state minimum coverages will only provide you with liability limits of $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident for bodily injury and $15,000 for property damage. This means that you cause any bodily injury to others in an accident, your insurance will only pay up to $25,000 per person with a cap of $50,000 per accident. It will also only cover you for $15,000 worth of property damage.

This leaves YOU responsible for the rest. This means any savings or home equity you have could be collected to pay the difference. Not only that, but your wages can be garnished if you don't have the assets to pay for the difference.
